Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 21, 2026
This policy explains what HouseRecord collects, why it is used, and the choices you have.
Information you provide
•
Account information, such as your email address, name, and authentication details.
•
Home records you choose to enter, including properties, maintenance tasks, inventory, contractors, notes, costs, photos, and documents.
•
Notification preferences, push subscriptions, and share links that you choose to create.
Product analytics
We may collect privacy-conscious usage events so we can understand which pages and features are useful, where sign-up succeeds or fails, and how the product performs. These events may include a normalized page path, an action such as creating a task, device type, browser, and an approximate country derived from the network connection.
We do not send your email address, property address, task titles, notes, contractor names, document names, file contents, or share tokens in analytics events. Record IDs and share tokens are removed from tracked paths. Browser Do Not Track is honored by the in-app analytics client.
How we use information
•
Provide authentication, syncing, storage, sharing, reminders, and the features you request.
•
Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve HouseRecord.
•
Measure aggregate sign-up and feature-use trends without selling your personal information.
•
Respond to support requests and comply with legal obligations.
Service providers
HouseRecord currently uses Supabase for authentication and PostgreSQL data services, Cloudflare R2 for uploaded file storage, Google Places when you search for contractor information, and Expo or browser push services when you enable notifications. Privacy-conscious analytics may be operated with Cloudflare Web Analytics and a HouseRecord-controlled Umami installation. These providers process information only to deliver their respective services.
Sharing and public links
Your account records are private unless you invite another member or create a property share link. Anyone who has an active share link can view the information exposed by that link until it expires or you revoke it. Avoid sending links to people who should not have access.
Retention and deletion
We retain account data while your account is active. You can delete your account from the Data & Privacy section in the app. Expired or revoked share links stop providing access. Limited copies may remain temporarily in operational backups, security logs, or where retention is required by law.
Security and your choices
We use access controls, encrypted connections, expiring signed file URLs, and other safeguards designed to protect your records. No system can guarantee absolute security. You can limit analytics through browser Do Not Track, disable notifications, revoke share links, export records where available, or delete your account.
Children and changes
HouseRecord is not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy as the product or its providers change. Material changes will be reflected here with a new update date.
